Nature Bound is a cut flower farm, established in 2022, and situated on a beautiful dairy farm west of Humansdorp. We grow a wide range of speciality cut flowers such as ranunculus, carnations, dahlias, hydrangeas to name a few. We supply flowers to florists and the public for weddings, special events or simply your kitchen table. Our farm started as a dream between 2 friends, Marisa’s love of flowers and Caryn’s passion for regenerative agriculture, and a common goal of reconnecting people to nature. Our name represents a deeply held belief that humans are intrinsically connected to the natural world. It is our hope to inspire others to rediscover the peace and joy of digging in the dirt and nurturing a plant to grow. We think flowers are a beautiful way of doing that. With our focus on the environment and its natural rhythms, we follow biological and regenerative practices on the farm. Our plants are grown in a way that mimics nature as closely as possible, and soil health is prioritised. We avoid chemical inputs and aim instead for biodiversity to create a balanced and resilient ecosystem. This approach produces high-quality stems and combined with our meticulous post-harvest care and cold-storage facilities, you can always rely on fresh, farm to table flowers. We are currently working towards opening the farm up to visitors so we can share the beauty of what we have created with fellow flower enthusiasts and anyone who wants to spend a day outside in nature. We work closely with florists to create the right flower assortment for weddings & events, and are also able to assist customers who would like to put their florals together themselves. Nature Bound has a range of bud vases, candle holders and candles available to complement your blooms and help your vision come to life.
