The Old Factory at Thornhill is a new wedding and event venue opening in 2027, nestled in the countryside between Jeffreys Bay and Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape. Once a working cricket bat factory, the property is being transformed into a distinctive celebration venue where industrial heritage meets timeless elegance. Original architectural character, thoughtfully designed gardens and beautifully curated interiors will create an unforgettable setting for weddings and special occasions of up to 150 guests. Our vision is simple: to create a venue where every celebration feels personal, relaxed and genuinely memorable. Whether exchanging vows beneath the open sky, enjoying cocktails in the gardens or celebrating with family and friends in the restored factory hall, every space has been designed to encourage connection, warmth and effortless hospitality. The Old Factory will offer carefully curated wedding packages, exceptional seasonal menus inspired by the Eastern Cape, and flexible spaces that allow couples to create a celebration that reflects their own style and story. Currently under development, The Old Factory is accepting enquiries for selected 2027 wedding dates.
